Avril Lavigne to perform at Syracuse amphitheater with pop-punk favorites

Avril Lavigne is returning to the Syracuse amphitheater on her Greatest Hits 2025 tour dates.
The “Sk8er Boi” singer will perform at the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview on May 28, 2025. Pop-punk favorites Simple Plan and We The Kings will open the show at 7 p.m.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. via Live Nation. Fans can also look for tickets on VividSeats, StubHub, TicketNetwork or SeatGeek.
Lavigne previously performed at the Empower FCU Amphitheater in 2022. Her pop-punk/alternative-rock hits include “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi,” “Girlfriend,” “I’m With You,” “What the Hell,” “My Happy Ending,” “Here’s to Never Growing Up” and the recent Nate Smith collaboration “Can You Die From a Broken Heart.”
Simple Plan recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of its sophomore album, “Still Not Getting Any,” featuring “Welcome to My Life” and “Shut Up!” The former Warped Tour standouts are also known for songs like “I’m Just a Kid,” “Perfect,” “I’d Do Anything” and “Addicted.”
We The Kings, another pop-punk veteran of the Warped Tour, are best known for the 2007 breakout hit “Check Yes Juliet,” plus songs like “Sad Song” (feat. Elena Coats), “We’ll Be a Dream” (feat. Demi Lovato) and the MTV VMA-winning “Say You Like Me.”
We The Kings and Simple Plan also recently released new covers of Disney songs for the compilation album “A Whole New Sound,” featuring pop-punk takes on songs like “Go the Distance” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.”
It’s the third concert announced so far for next year at the Empower FCU Amphitheater, formerly known as St. Joe’s Amp and the Lakeview Amphitheater.
Lavigne’s tour dates also include Upstate New York concerts at the Broadview Stage at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) in Saratoga Springs on May 27; the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario, on June 5; and the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on June 27. Fefe Dobson will replace Simple Plan at the Niagara Falls concert.
